All around Nekupe, outdoor experiences await. From hunting to farming, ATV riding and hiking, there is something for every level and every interest. A dedicated Ranger guides guests through all the possibilities available to them.


An exciting 30-minute off-road experience perfect for adventure lovers, our ATV ride experience takes guests from our teak plantation through the forest to Ochomogo River. Prepare for fun – and mud!


Two riding paths deliver a stunning journey around our property. In the first, guests ride through the birdwatching forest and the teak plantation. The second begins in the wild forest, where guests meet both the indigenous and rescued animals of Nekupe.


Take off on specialized bikes for one hour-long, 8-shape circuit, where guests have the opportunity for birdwatching and nature contact. It is perfectly suited for groups.


At the Nekupe Firepit guests will have an opportunity to connect with friends, family and fellow guests under the beautiful Nicaraguan sky. Here, we will offer activities including stargazing, poetry readings and storytelling of traditional Nicaraguan leyendas (legends).


Guests can choose from daily Vinyasa Flow Yoga on Francesca’s Mirador Deck, as well Restorative Yoga, Ashtanga, Yin Yoga, and Power Yoga.


With 73 bird species and counting, Nekupe is the ideal location for birdwatching. The property encompasses a diverse environment of microhabitats and niches, plus several manmade reservoirs. Our local wildlife experts and trackers are here to enlighten guests on the various exotic and rare tropical birds that reside within our property.


Enjoy an in-depth look at Nekupe’s 12,916 square-foot garden, guided by one of our chefs or Rangers. Here, guests will discover cucumbers, beets, chiltoma, carrots, ginger, eggplants, tomatoes, an array of spices, and plantations of citrus trees, to name a few of our crops, and learn about how they are grown and just what makes them organic.


Try your hand and accuracy in a one-of-a-kind Running Boar and visit the Pistol Range, designed by Central American Pistol Shooting Champion Emilio Chamorro.

Designed by renowned sport shooter John Higgins, Nekupe’s sporting clay features eight stations with forty two machines, where guests can shoot a variety of styles including skeet and trap. The variety of stations and machines puts Nekupe’s shooting course on a world competitive level.


Tennis lovers will be in heaven at our two tennis courts, which have a professional flooring system and are completely immersed in nature. Lessons allow players of all ages and skills to hone their specialized skills.


Hiking experience at Nekupe will get our guests through beautiful and winding trails. It begins at a beautiful lagoon, Nanta, and continues up through the forest to the top of a mountain where guests will enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views of our property. On the way down, participants can enjoy walking across hanging bridge.


Mentally and physically challenging, our Ropes Course consist of 10 low structures that are on the ground or slightly above. The Ropes Course offers a great group activity for personal development, leadership skills and team building.
